in the end和at last的区别

这是一组同义词，都有“最后”的意思，但用法有所不同。
finally 一般指一系列事物或论点的顺序，没有感情色彩。例如：
Finally she went to see the famous man and told him everything.最后她去见那位著名的人物，并把一切情况都告诉了他。
We waited and waited,and the train finally arrived.我们等了又等，火车终于来了。
at last往往表示经过一番努力或曲折的过程之后的意思，常带有较浓厚的感情色彩。例如：
At last the work was done and he could rest.最后，工作完成了，他可以休息了。
She has come at last!她总算来了！
in the end 表示经过许多变化、困难和捉摸不定的情况以后某事才发生。例如：
They won in the end.最后他们赢了。
When a piece of ice is taken into a warm room ,it becomes smaller and smaller, until in the end it disappears completely.一块冰拿进暖和的房间后，它会变得越来越小，直到完全消融。
in the end可与finally和at last通用，但注意：in the end和finally不能用作感叹语。
