Since the two journalists coined the “glass ceiling” in 1986, it has been commonly found on different occasions or in various kinds of material, such as popular media, official government reports and different academic platforms.
As a matter of fact, nowadays the majority are men among managers, top executives, and higher levels of professional workers.
On the other hand, a large portion of women are still in lower categories of managerial positions.
